Rotary Club Gift Shoeboxes - Over the past couple of months Waggoners members had generously filled shoeboxes with items suitable to be gifted to needy people living in Eastern Europe. Jeff R shared these photos of the filled boxes being shrink wrapped before being loaded onto a lorry for onward transmission to Eastern Europe.

Sunday 4th December 2022 -

Penny, Bob, Ann, Brian Simon, Trudy, Janet and David went to the London and Home Counties Regional Callers Assembly's  Christmas Dance in Hemel Hempstead  and had a great afternoon dancing easy Mainstream to Kevin Lovell

Monday 5th December 2022 - On a cold evening we danced three squares to Trudy and Simon with a few dancers sitting out. During the night Trudy and Simon continued teaching new moves to our Students and Penny was our guest caller. We were surprised and pleased by a visit by Eric and Sara who we have not seen for quite some time - they even managed to dance a tip with us. We were also pleased to have a visit by Allan H who is not able to attend Club regularly

Friday 9th December -Monday 12th December 2022 - Bob, Janet F, Ann, Brian, Janet H and David went to the Festive Break at Sandown on the Isle of Wight and had a great time dancing Mainstream and Plus to Di Green and Terry McCann.

Monday 12th December - Due to heavy snow which fell in our area during the night of Sunday 11th, our planned Social Meal at Wodson Park had to be postponed until 30th January as driving conditions away from the main roads were very difficult.

Monday 19th December - This evening we held our Christmas Party raising funds for our local Trussell Trust Food Bank. The Club donated everyone's entrance fees, our Callers, Trudy and Simon, generously donated their calling fee and other money was raised by donations, a raffle and various games, sales and competitions: "Feely" Socks; nail balancing; Lucky Squares (to win £50); Darts; "Simon" quiz; Reindeer Balloon hats. During the interval we enjoyed mulled berry juice and mince pies.

At the end of the night it was announced that the provisional figure raised for the Food Bank was £325. Thank you to everyone who helped us to raise this amount for a worthy, and sadly necessary, cause.   x

Wednesday 28th December - Julie, Ann, Brian, Jackie, Keith, Janet and David went to the All Square at Zero Twixmas Dance at Kensworth. Kevin Lovell called a very enjoyable evening of Mainstream and Plus and introduced many of us to "Triangle" dancing and, later, "Tandem Triangles".
