Jacqui

Monday 15th May - In the absence of Trudy and Simon, Penny and David were our callers this evening and entertained us with alternating tips throughout the night. We were visited by our former member, Jacqui, who surprised us with the news that she and her husband, Keith, (also a former member) would be moving to the Scottish Highlands next week.

During the night David's singing calls were: "If you knew Susie", "Going to the Chapel", "From a Jack to a King" and "Toot, Toot, Tootsie, Goodbye" but changed the "Tootsie" to "Jacqui".

Penny's singing calls were: "Both Sides Now", "End of the World", "A Nightingale sang in Berkeley Square", "Wouldn't it be Loverly". To close the evening, and in honour of Jacqui's news, Penny sang "We'll Meet Again" which Jacqui assured us we would.

Monday 22nd May - We were very pleased to welcome back Trudy and Simon from their holiday in Scotland. So many of the members were either away on holiday or otherwise engaged that we could only manage to dance one square with some spares sitting out.

After revising "Spin the Top" Trudy and Simon taught the Students how to "Spin Chain Thru" and later to "Tag the Line" and "Half Tag". They are now well on the way to completing learning the Mainstream programme.

David was our guest caller this evening and chose as his singing call "From a Jack to a King"
