Waggoners was closed this evening while some of us enjoyed a social meal together at Wodson Park Sports and Leisure Centre in Ware. This event had been planned as a pre-~Christmas meal to take place in December 2022 but had to be postponed due to the heavy snow which fell in our area the day before.

Penny had prepared four quizzes which each table completed during the evening and after marking them the winners were Table 1 who shared a prize of a bag of chocolates. At the beginning of the evening everyone received a free raffle ticket attached to a "Christmas Cracker" joke and, after the coffee was served, David and Janet called their "Reverse Raffle" where the holders of the early tickets drawn out of the bag lost their prizes to later tickets drawn. There were no losers, however, as everyone received a consolation chocolate as their raffle prize was taken away.

At the end of the evening Bob presented Janet with a bunch of tulips to thank her for her work in organising the evening.
