Monday 7th August 2023 - We were very pleased and surprised to receive a visit from Pamela M who, due to an accidental injury, has not been able to dance with us for quite a long time. She managed to join in with some gentle patter but spent the rest of her visit catching up with old friends including Maggie S.
For the benefit of our newer dancers Trudy and Simon revised, among others, "Dixie Style", "Turn Thru", "Slide Thru" and "Walk and Dodge". Both Penny and David were guest callers this evening and gave us "End of the World" (Penny) and "Chapel of Love" (David).
Monday 14th August 2023 - We had enough dancers for three squares to dance to Trudy and Simon this evening with both Penny and David performing guest tips. Simon called a tip for our more experienced Mainstream dancers which included lots of "Half Sashays" - it really kept us on our toes! Michael and Joyce brought along biscuits and chocolates for everyone to share in recognition of their Golden Wedding Anniversary which they celebrated last week in Whitby. We sang "Happy Birthday" to Mac and "Happy Anniversary" to Janet and Bob.
Thursday 17th August 2023 - Ann, Keith, Trudy, Simon, Barbara, David C, Maggie, Bob, Jackie, Janet, Penny, David H and Brian went to Tudor Squares and had an extremely fun evening dancing Mainstream and Plus to the Australian Caller, Brian Hotchkies (in the lilac shirt) At the back of the photo is the Caller, Di Green, who wanted to see what was going on.
Sunday 20th August 2023 - Jackie, Keith, Penny, Bob, Janet and David went to the All Square at Zero Summer Friendship Dance at Kensworth where they had a fun afternoon dancing SSD (easy Mainstream) and Plus to Kevin Lovell
