Hunted Gatherers West

INTRODUCTION

The story entitled Hunted Gatherers West starts in the setting of Folsom, New Mexico and ends in Clovis, New Mexico. At the beginning of the story the main characters are in desperate need of a hunt in order to feed themselves. There is a blending of the elements between the first Hunted Gatherer episode and the second episode when the fish out of water hero Brown Horn migrates to this territory with her own herd of migratory Bison.

Brown Horn has a mirage about her character as she never really comes in contact with the other characters. Her main purpose is to protect her migratory herd the best that she possibly can without allowing them any danger. Nevertheless she is barely seen at the beginning of the story and miraculously disappears within the misted fog. Only a lost Bison is found and hunted by the territorial hunters. As the migratory herd of Bison remains unseen they realize their need to preserve their “ritual faunal feasting.”

Nonetheless there is the taster to a character opponent who is the best one able to attack their weakness as they plan to mark their site with the Bison horns of their first “Big Game Kill.” Eventually they discover more straggling Bison for the hunt which leads to Brown Horn’s migratory herd of Bison. However Bull Woman will discover them also and lead them to destruction.

Near the end Bull Woman’s character begins to deteriorate when she attacks a small baby Bison. This is where the demise of Brown Horn’s craving to push Bull Woman out to save the remains of her migratory Bison Herd. Once she leaves with her “Big Game” and heads to new territories, the hunters realize that there is no more “Big Game hunting, for their faunal feasting.

At the end the hunter tribe leaves their what was before a preserved territory and heads to Clovis, New Mexico where they will in the long run find a new preserved territory for the “Faunal feasting” to support their families in the future.

PROLOGUE

At the very beginning of the story one of our main characters is introduced by the preparations of his projectile point. Once he made such preparations he will endure making his way to the hunt to make his first kill of the day. Along the flight of his hunt he will be accompanied by many other hunters who are an integral part of the story. After making a long run with his friends the one of the main characters named Brown Deer will come across his first “Big Game” hunt of the day.

There is one lesson learned within this story. The lesson is that when you stare an animal face to face and look them in the eyes they are supposed to be left alone. After making this mistake the group of hunters will encounter obstacles when another character named Brown Horn descends with her migratory herd of Bison.

However this time the look in the eye is camouflaged and the main characters are blinded to the fact that they be led into the destruction of their preservation to their faunal feasting. Most of the destruction will come from their opponent who is out for her own control of their livelihood and heritage. It will take many endeavors and obstacles before they realize their moral choice to sustain and maintain anyone’s rite of passage through their territorial lands. This moral choice will lead to the reality of hunting for survival rather than for sport.
