Baked Spaghetti

Made in Cindy's Kitchen, adapted from Taste of Home

Ingredients:

1/2 pkg. of spaghetti (1/2 lb or 1/2 450g)

1 pound of ground beef

1 medium onion, chopped

1 can meatless spaghetti sauce (680 ml) (I used Garlic Herb Sauce)

1 egg

1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 Tb of melted butter

1 cup No Fat Cottage Cheese

2 cups shredded Mozzarella Cheese

Directions:

Cook spaghetti according to package directions.  Meanwhile in a large skillet cook beef and onion until meat is no longer pink; drain.  Stir in spaghetti sauce, heat thoroughly.

Whisk melted butter, Parmesan, then egg together, adding to drained cooked spaghetti, tossing to coat.

Place half of the spaghetti mixture in a greased 3 qt baking dish.  Top with half the cottage cheese, meat sauce and mozzarella.  Repeat layers.

Cover and bake at 350*F for 40 minutes.

Yields 5 servings.
