As is evident from large number of accidents and deaths, safety practices are not followed within the campus. This is particularly critical at construction sites, but also holds for sewage workers, cleaners, and other labor within the campus. We collect various recommendations and reports in the context of safety practices on this webpage.

Safety and Best Practices Committee Report by an institute committee consisting of Dr. S Sundar Kumar Iyer, Dept. of EE, Shri R K Verma, EE-II, Dr. Geeta Pathak, Dept. of CSE, Dr. Suchitra Mathur, Dept. of HSS, Dr. Shashank Mehta, Dept. of CSE, Shri Arvind Kothari, President Student Gym., Shri E Venkatesan, JE This committee was constituted by the Director in Sept. 2007 in the context of three successive deaths in the campus. Unfortunately only a shoddy attempt to implement the recommendations has been made -- for example, take a look at photographs of the safety gear for cleaning workers.
