Dear Ones

Post the recent construction accident tragedy in which three laborers have

lost their lives and one is battling for it, many of us have been wanting to

collectively reach out to the affected families. There has been a call for

generating substantial financial support for their loved ones. It would be a

mark of respect and care from all of us to those nameless/faceless beings

who end up giving up their lives or sustaining serious injuries while

building our infrastructure, where many-a-dreams are weaved and many more,

realized.

Over the past few days, the Institute has worked to put in place convenient

means by which we can donate, with the assurance that the collected

donations shall reach the intended beneficiaries in a timely manner. In

addition to recent e-mail from DORA on donation to already existing

endowment fund, two additional options have been created as follows:

1. DIRECT DEDUCTION FROM AUGUST SALARY (For Institute employees,

including project staff)

2. I-COLLECT (For Institute employees and students): URL for SBI

Please select category as "CONTRACT WORKERS WELFARE AND RELIEF FUND", fill

up other relevant details and pay the amount.

This is an appeal to all of you, faculty, staff and students, to come

forward and exercise one of the above options to generously contribute to

the above. Please rest assured that we shall get back to you from time to

time with status updates, till this exercise reaches its logical conclusion.
