Shamim Akhter's visit 2011

Mr. Shamim Akhter, a 2007 graduate from IIT Kanpur, currently working in Riyadh, visited the campus from August 20-25, 2011, for a fact finding mission regarding compensations to families of two workers following their avoidable deaths (see here and here). He met with the representative of the workers, the representatives of IIT Kanpur, and the Additional Labour Commissioner.
