Dear Prof. Manna,

We hope this finds you in best of health.

We had written to you on June 15, 2013 with our comments regarding your Office order dated 24th May 2103. We have now received a copy of the corrigendum dated Aug 1, 2013 (DIR/IITK/2013/59). This memo includes a sample copy of ID card.

In your original Office order, eligibility of the workers to receive emergency medical care had been clearly mentioned. It was also stated unequivocally in the proposed sample. However in the sample enclosed with the Corrigendum, the statement about emergency health care is clearly missing. We hope that this omission is unintentional.

We therefore request you to issue a correction and ensure that the ID card entitles the worker any emergency care in IITK Health Centre if needed and it is clearly stated on the card. It is very important so that a worker in an emergency situation does not get a run around from the appropriate health care personnel.

As we have stated in the past, we commend your efforts to help us in our pursuit for correcting the situation of workers and respect of their human rights and dignity, and continue to look forward to your cooperation.
