COMMUNIQUE

The Institute informs with profound grief that a construction worker,

named Shri Ram Saran Rai, working on the construction site of Extn. of New

RA Hostel Building on the campus, accidentally fell from the sixth floor

at about 0900hrs on 21.11.2012. He was immediately rushed to the Regency

Hospital, where he was declared as ‘brought dead’.

The worker, Shri Ram Saran Rai, aged about 45 years S/o Shri Badri, was a

resident of village Mansahi of Varanasi district. He was an unskilled

employee of M/s. Ramky Infrastructure Ltd and was working at the

construction site of the Extn. of New RA Hostel w.e.f. 01.11.2012. He is

survived by his wife and two children.

The Institute has already informed all concerned authorities including the

Deputy Chief Labor Commissioner (Central) in this regard. The work on the

construction site has been suspended indefinitely and an inquiry committee

has been ordered by the Institute to look into the facts and circumstances

under which the unfortunate accident occurred.
