Subject: RE: Your report to IITK
Date: Tue, 5 Nov 2013 01:12:40 +0000
Dear Mr. Thomas,
Thank you for a prompt reply to our email. I wish we could say this for the emails we write to the administration or the reports we prepare to send them. Let alone a reply, we do not even always get acknowledgements.
We are pleased that you have offered to help us if you can, in any specific way. We can think a number of ways you could collaborate with us.
(1) You could perhaps write to IITK admin asking them to explain why has your report received the treatment it did. Why were you not invited to defend your recommendations? What aspects of report are not in best interests of the Institute while workers continue to work in best interests of IITK? Why were you not informed as to the outcome of his report? Why were the alumni who wanted to see the report were denied until RTI forced it on IITK? These are questions we have asked many times and have not been able to receive a satisfactory response.
(2) Would you consider sharing your experience with other Distinguished alumni or alumni at large?
(3) As we had been mentioned earlier, we are preparing a letter to send to alumni at large regarding your report. Would you consider writing a foreword to the letter or simply cosigning with us?
(4) Would you consider recollecting your experiences you had while working on the report i.e. your impressions during your meetings both with administration's representatives but also contract workers? This could be posted on our website or our newsletter.
Regards
Sushil Handa
