    • Note that he was involved in the workers' cause at IITK, in particular being invited for the Open House on 3rd Feb, 2014 by Faculty Forum.

  • - You can find the invitation letters for the event here: in Hindi, in English.

    • - Some friends associated with Citizens' Forum, who interacted with Mukul Sinha when he came to campus wrote this tribute.

You can read a brief summary of the whole event below:

All the arrangements were made by HM friends and one really had to think innovatively as it does not get dark before 7.15 pm these days. The meeting was conducted by two friends of telephone exchange and started with a revolutionary song by children of IIT workers, actually the whole programme was interspersed with songs and ended with one too. Then a faculty associated with Hamara Manch spoke for around 20 minutes on the life and works of Mukul giving a glimpse of his extraordinary life and also delineating the task he has left behind for all of us. And then we watched the film for the next 1.5 hours and it was mesmerising even better than we had anticipated. Women and children, men of all ages watched the film and really enjoyed it, there were around 150 of us. Almost everybody stayed on till the end and though separated temporally, geographically and also contextually it was generally felt by all the that there is an overriding similarity of the lives and issues of workers of all times. It was an uplifting experience. We hope to have discussions today and in HM's Wednesday meeting too.
