Love is …(3) (Vol 4 No 96)

Love is where we must begin

Love can then be born within;

In our frail humanity

Love breeds in us, empathy;

In our loving we can raise

Mournful spirits into praise;

Love is love’s own currency;

Given gladly; given free.

Love was lived in Galilee;

Lived in all his ministry;

Love invaded Calvary;

Love was killed there, tragically;

From the tomb love comes alive;

By its nature it will thrive;

In our love he lives anew;

Christ of faith comes into view.

Even  killed, love never dies;

Love when censored multiplies;

Love works strongly for the right;

Love is virtue’s dynamite;

Loving others from the heart

Is the way we play our part

Bringing hope and energy

To live life abundantly.
