God is Within, God is Between

In such immediacy.

God is beyond and out of reach;

A baff’ling trinity.

First hand we know of ‘God within’,

And felt so knowingly,

When peace and patience, love and joy

Give us such liberty.

‘God in between’ is love that’s shared

With all humanity;

When justice, mercy and good will

Guide our society.

And ‘God beyond’, - we stand in awe;

Time and infinity,

Trees, mountains, planets, cyber-space,

All point to mystery.

For God in us and us in God -

A wondrous unity;

We live and move and die in God

Throughout eternity.
