We pray for you, God’s loved one;

We name you in our heart;

We honour your intentions,

The love that you impart;

We pray you will be faithful,

Fulfilling every dream;

To follow Jesus closely,

And grow in self-esteem.

We pray for you, God’s loved one,

To have a list’ning ear;

To join in joyous laughter;

With sad ones, shed a tear;

As prophet of God’s kingdom

To preach equality;

Rebuke abuse of power,

And foster harmony.

We pray for you, God’s loved one,

For burdens can crowd in,

But other times are wondrous -

God’s active from within!

We pray you will be constant

To search God’s mystery,

And follow Christ intently

In loving ministry.
