Hope can be elusive (Vol 4 No 89)
Hope can be elusive (Vol 4 No 89)
Our hope is that which brightens life;
Gives inner strength midst ugly strife;
It points us to a better way;
Inspires a song along the way.
With shattered plans, we feel undone;
When clouds roll in and hide the sun,
We may feel we have lost our dream;
We might lash out and even scream.
When sliding down this slippery slope -
With visions gone, can there be hope?
This is the time when one can try
To share the load with those who cry.
Hope then may come, and creeping in
Will hold us fast, e’en prompt a grin;
God is involved when love is shown;
We are assured we’re not alone.
