The seed of sin is

Pride.

Planted softly, subtly

In the soil of

Self-pity

Sorrow

Anger

Jealousy

Betrayal.

Nurtured carefully by

Helping hands of

Time

Ambition

Recognition

Rationalization

Justification.

Watered steadily by

Worldly fountains of

Fame

Power

Popularity

Prominence

Fortune.

Warmed constantly by

Steady heat of

Hurt

Conflict

Insistence

Resistance

Selfishness.

The seed of sin is

Pride.

Removed only by

A change in the stony soil of the heart,

The touch of clean and willing hands,

The cleansing power of Living Water,

The searing heat of repentance and

The warm reassurance of the Comforter.

The seed of sin is

Pride.

The seed of Godliness is

Humility.
