Written in by Anna Molgard and Rachel Mohlman, All Is Well is a full-length musical, completed in 2016. The central theme is consecration to the Lord and His Church. It tells the story of Newel K. and Elizabeth Ann Whitney, during their time in Kirtland OH, from their search for truth, to their acceptance of the restored gospel, their consecrated service in Kirtland and ultimately their faithful response to the prophet's call to leave everything behind and move to serve in Missouri.
Cast requires strong singers: seven women, eight men, five youth, two optional children, and an SATB ensemble. See cast list for more details on parts. Accompaniment is written for piano.
The book and music is our original work, based heavily on the writings of Elizabeth Ann Whitney, in Leaf from an Autobiography, printed in the Women's Exponent, September 1878. Other research references can be found in Historical Notes.
As writers, have felt incredible guidance in this work and our own lives are blessed by the consecration that has been required to create and complete this show. We feel deep love for those about whom we have written, and we hope you will also feel their faith, hope, and dedication to the Lord as you review this material. We only hope it will be used where God intends it to be, so that others may benefit from these true stories of consecration.
