Lessons

There are lessons to be learned,

Child.

In the lush, verdant landscape

Of high mountain peaks,

Endless with vistas of

Grandeur and wonder.

In the deep, profound stillness

Of peace and serenity

Found amongst pines and aspens,

Reaching ever upward.

In the rush of the waterfall

Of newfound discoveries,

Resilient and promising

Clear cut recollection.

There are lessons to be learned,

Child.

In the vast, scorching desolation

Of the barren desert,

Endlessly mocking thirst

In the search for living water.

In the cavernous, terrifying depth

Of the crushing canyon,

Surrounded by insurmountable peaks

Providing no simple escape.

In the arduous, absolute ascent

Of the ridge,

Rocky, unstable, unforgiving terrain,

Concealing what lies beyond the summit.

All things shall give thee

Experience.

All things shall work together for thy

Good.

All things received with

Thankfulness

Shall one day be made

Glorious.

There are lessons to be learned,

Child.
