Women of Faith

Women of Faith was written in 2003 by Anna Molgard and Rachel Mohlman for the inaugural script submission contest for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Hundreds of scripts were submitted from around the world and Women of Faith was selected as a finalist. The production is intended for Stake Relief Society performance and lasts approximately one hour.

Women of Faith is the musical and theatrical journey of a modern woman, Melody, through experiences in her married life and the connections she discovers with women in the Bible. Though far removed from the culture, dress or lifestyle of her Biblical predecessors, Melody learns that frustration is far-reaching, struggles are timeless, and faith is a journey. She discovers how God strengthens and sustains women - regardless of place and time.

The composers have a deep love for the scriptures and have been continually influenced by women of great faith in their own lives. This work is a reflection of their personal testimonies and gratitude for Jesus Christ. They hope the spirit that has repeatedly inspired them in the creation and production of this work will flow forward and inspire others to seek inspiration from faithful women in every place and time.
