Trust in the Lord

This song is based on a talk by Bonnie H. Cordon where she taught, based on Proverbs 3:5-6: “Each of us can trust in the Lord and lean not. We can center our lives on the Savior by coming to know Him, and He will direct our paths.” (Trust in the Lord and Lean Not, April 2017)

I shared the simple tune for the first part of this song with my sister-in-law, Anna (the scripture set to music, a voice of counsel). She liked it, but said that she could hear a counter-melody. She sent me a recording of the second part (the voice of a child who has accepted the counsel and commits to follow it.) I love how the two fit together into a simple declaration of “Trust in the Lord”.
