Miracle for Me

Once again, I was subbing in Primary as the pianist. The sharing time outline included a theme on miracles. The music leader remarked to me that she had looked through all the primary songs and couldn't find a song specifically about Jesus' miracles. This got me thinking, but I put it on the back burner. Months later, I read Elder Andersen's April 2010 General Conference talk. I was struck with the need to teach my children about Jesus' life and his miracles.

PDF (children's song)

*PDF (solo version, expanded accompiment)

*Please note: The children's song version is one page, with all three verses to the same accompaniment. The solo version expands the accompaniment to two pages, with a varied accompaniment for the last verse. This will be harder for children learning the song, as the expanded version does not support the melody as well as the shorter version, but it is nice for a soloist.

LYRICS

Jesus healed the leper, gave sight unto the blind,

Fed five thousand people, turned water into wine.

Jesus walked on water and calmed the stormy sea.

He can do a miracle for me.

I have faith in Jesus, who taught me to obey.

I will try to follow his example every day.

Miracles will bless me as I trust him and believe

He can do a miracle for me.

Jesus Christ can heal me from sickness, pain, and sin.

He was resurrected so I can live again.

Jesus is my Savior; his power sets me free.

He can do a miracle for me.
