Sisters of One Heart

Honoring the Faith of Women in the Ongoing Restoration

Sisters of One Heart was created through the efforts of many women. Together, we studied the lives of six of our early sisters: Lucy Mack Smith, Emma Hale Smith, Mary Fielding Smith, Mercy Fielding Thompson, Elizabeth Ann Whitney, and Eliza R. Snow. As we came to know these faithful women, we discovered that their lives and their hearts were not so different from ours. This program is a reflection of that realization and the love we feel for these women who have given us a remarkable legacy of faith and endurance. It is also a reminder that as latter-day covenant women, we are engaged in the same work for which these women gave their lives - the work of the Lord. As we learn from their examples and unite with our sisters today, we find that barriers of time, culture, and space disappear, and we become Sisters of One Heart.

This program is designed for a Stake Relief Society presentation and requires: a women's choir, six readers for our early sisters, one reader for Joseph Smith, two narrators, seven to nine female soloists, and a fabulous accompanist.
