From the dark cinders -
Once burning
With intense heat,
Flashing
Bright
All encompassing
Searing flames,
Ashes.
Still,
Silent,
Black,
Life begins to stir.
Quietly at first,
Imperceptible
To eye
Or ear,
But gathering strength,
Drawn from silent cinders
That once carried life.
Reaching,
Gathering,
Becoming from ashes
A being more beautiful,
A life emerging
Stronger,
Braver,
Bolder
Than before the fire.
Revitalized,
Brilliant colors,
Fierce fiery hues
Burst forth
As wings are born
And Firebird
Takes flight.
