Blessed

He holds her tenderly,

so new and fragile,

Facing the unknown perils

of a new world.

Symbolic moment

of beginning,

Surrounded by love

And power

And priesthood

to begin her life

Blessed.

She will not remember,

But she will carry

the protection

of that moment

with her

throughout her life.

Father descends,

Carrying the precious beauty

so carefully in his arms

That I catch an inkling

of a moment

I cannot remember,

But which surrounds me

With love

And power

And priesthood,

A moment which continues

To protect me

Throughout my life,

Blessed.

Carried tenderly,

carefully,

Precious daughter

of God.
