This song was written as a comfort to those struggling with difficult trials. The text came in a sudden moment of inspiration as an answer to a heartfelt prayer for a loved one in need. The various scriptural references culminate in the counsel to simply "Be still and know that I am God". As we struggle through our life experiences and often wonder why we are being tested and tried, many times we need to just be still and trust in a loving Heavenly Father who knows all, sees all, and loves us infinitely. ~Anna

LYRICS
Though the Galilee is raging,
Mists of darkness cloud thine eyes,
Even more than many sparrows
Thy thoughts are known to mine.
Though many voices beckon thee
To leave the iron rod,
The still small voice entreats thee,
Be still and know that I am God.
My pow'r is manifested
In each tender loving face
I have sent thee from my presence
As witness of my grace.
From the tiny baby's finger
To the shouts of those abroad,
Canst thou hear me in the whisper?
Be still, and know that I am God.
In my house are many mansions
Built for those who can endure
Through the triumphs and the trials,
Whose hearts remaineth pure.
I sent my Son to show thee
The pathway thou must trod.
In Gethsemane and always,
Be still, and know that I am God.
