Ding Dong Merrily on High
One day, I couldn't get this carol out of my head. At the time, I was picking music for a women's Christmas choir. The year before, we sang a 7/8 arrangement of another carol. It was refreshing, challenging, and great fun to sing. Ding Dong Merrily on High just seemed to be begging me to arrange it in 7/8 as well. What else could I do? Written for unaccompanied SSA, this arrangement is challenging and spirited. Have fun with this one!

LYRICS
Ding dong merrily on high,
In heav'n the bells are ringing:
Ding dong! Verily the sky
Is riv'n with angel singing.
Gloria! Hosanna in excelsis!
E'en so here below, below,
Let steeple bells be swungen.
And 'Io! Io! Io!'
By priest and people sungen.
Gloria! Hosanna in excelsis!
Pray you, dutifully prime
Your matin chime, ye ringers;
May you beautifully rhyme
Your evetime song, ye singers.
Gloria! Hosanna in excelsis!
