Jesus is My Friend

Many children's songs include language and concepts that are difficult for 3 year olds to understand. I wrote this in an effort to give simple language to sometimes complex gospel principles for my Sunbeam class. I wanted to normalize human emotions as part of our mortal experience and help children understand that whatever they are feeling, they can turn to Jesus for help, support and love. After completing it, I was touched by the power of these principles taught in such a simple way that people of all ages can connect with. The essence of the gospel of Jesus Christ really is simple. Jesus is my friend. ~Anna
