DDP: History MA Modules 2023-24
The following MA modules are due to run in the 2023-24 academic and, subject to approval by your supervisor, the module tutor and availability, are available to History research students as part of the Doctoral Development Programme.
Modules generally run in one semester, teaching weeks will vary so please check the timetable carefully.
What do I need to do?
If you are interested in taking a History MA module as part of your DDP, you should first discuss the suitability of this with your PhD supervisor.
If you and your supervisor agree that a particular module is appropriate for your area of research and fits with the analysis of your training needs, you should contact the Postgraduate Support Manager.
Where possible, you should let us know about any modules you would like to take by 12pm on Friday 8 September. MA module allocations will take place the following week and students will be notified by the end of Wednesday 13 September. Please note that priority will be given to MA students where needed. If your place is confirmed the Postgraduate Support Manager will arrange for the module to be added to your student record.
Unless indicated otherwise, you do not normally need to complete the assessment for MA modules but you do need to commit to attending all of the teaching (illness and other circumstances excepting).
From 13 September, we'll update this page to indicate any modules that are no longer running or full and you can continue to get in touch with us about module availability.
