Departmental research fund
The Department offers a research fund that staff and PhD students can apply to each year.

The Bryan Marsden prize is open to applications from final year UG, MA and Research students undertaking research related to American history topics.
Two additional postgraduate prizes are open to applications from students undertaking research related to European history topics.

UKRI and University funded stipend update - 16 September 2022
UKRI has announced an increase to their minimum full-time stipend of 10% effective from 1 October. The University will match this for students funded by University scholarships.
