Graduation Ceremony

The winter ceremony usually takes place in mid-January each year. You will normally be sent information about degree ceremonies and how to register by the University's Events team in approximately October.

You will then be able to choose whether you would like to attend the ceremony in person and collect your certificate or whether you would like your degree to be awarded 'in absentia' and have your degree certificate posted to you.

Please pay attention to the graduation deadline, as it is likely that you will need to sign up to graduate ahead of receiving notification of your degree classification.

History graduation reception

The Department will normally hold a drinks reception following the degree ceremony and you will be contacted via email in late November/early December to confirm whether you would like to attend.
