Full-time
You will choose modules totalling 180 credits over the full year of study - this includes 120 credits of taught modules plus a Dissertation worth 75 credits.
You will take three core modules worth 120 credits and your remaining 60 credits will be made up of option modules.
Part-time
You will choose modules totalling 180 credits over the two years of study - this includes 105 credits of taught modules plus a Dissertation worth 75 credits.
You will take three core modules worth 120 credits - an approaches module (year one) and both the Research Presentation and the Dissertation (year two). Your remaining 60 credits will be made up of option modules. We recommend spreading your overall credits evenly across both years of study to create a balanced workload.

Option modules (75 credits)
You will take 60 credits of option modules normally including 2 x 15 credit history options and 1 x 30 credit history option. See the full-time or part-time information (links above) for a standard breakdown per semester.
Up to 30 credits can be swapped for modules from the guided (non-history) modules listed below.
Please note that module availability may still change at this stage due to student uptake. For non-history modules, the owning department has final approval for acceptance onto their modules and, if space becomes limited, priority may be given to students registered in that department. Back-up choices are included for this reason but use will be kept as minimal as possible.
