Module information 2023-24

Core modules (105 credits)

You will take all three modules
Part-time students will take the dissertation and Research Presentation in the second year

Option modules (75 credits)

You will take 75 credits of option modules normally including 3 x 15 credit history options and 1 x 30 credit history option. See the full-time or part-time information (links above) for a standard breakdown per semester.

Up to 30 credits can be swapped for modules from the guided (non-history) modules listed below.

Please note that module availability may still change at this stage due to student uptake. For non-history modules, the owning department has final approval for acceptance onto their modules and, if space becomes limited, priority may be given to students registered in that department. Back-up choices are included for this reason but use will be kept as minimal as possible.

Seminar plans and selected reading lists are indicative and subject to change.

Guided option modules

Teaching and assessment methods may vary for non-History modules.

Please note that the owning department has final approval for acceptance onto their modules and, if space becomes limited, priority may be given to students registered in that department.
