Color Study

Artist statement

Describe: The subject of it is my baby cousin Luna. The setting is her living room on the couch. I used oil pastels and a blender. I chose this picture because I thought the lighting would be fun to do. I used color and shape.

Analyze: I used centering and silhouette lighting. It evolved because I kept working on blending and making sure all the colors were in each square.

Evaluate: I took pictures of my cousin while I was visiting her and I used that picture because the lighting made nice shadows on her face. I think it could be stronger if I spent more time on the eye colors because they aren't too accurate.
