Color Design

Artist Statement

Describe: The subject is an african American women with lots of colorful curls. I made it using primary colors of acrylic paint and oil markers. I made this specific artwork because I wanted to draw a face and be able to still incorporate color.

Analyze: It has leading lines, grouping, and it's centered. The colors are grouped by light and dark. My project changed because I kept adding more layers to make colors more opaque.

Evaluate: I wanted to draw an african american women because I wanted to have more diversity and it would look very cool with all the different colors. I think I could make it better by making some of the darker colors better.
