Summer School for Grade 10-12 Students
Course Overview and Materials
Everything changes! If you’re interested in science but don’t plan to pursue a post-secondary program with a focus on science, this is the course for you. In Science 20, you’ll explore the concept of change, including chemical changes and changes in motion, and get an overview of topics in biology, chemistry, and physics. There is a supervised midterm and final exam in this course.
Due to the short time frame of summer session, expect to be working on the course 5 to 7 hours each day for the month of July. Vacations or full-time Jobs should not be taken during this time. You will be completing one Unit per week during this course. There are no exemptions or extensions to the assignment closing deadlines provided at the start of the course.
*Tests are supervised using remote proctoring software called Proctorio. To write a Proctorio supervised test, students must have a computer or laptop with a microphone and a webcam.
In order for a student to be successful in this course, VVS requires a minimum of 60% in Science 10.
