Week 10 and 11 (May 26 - June 5)

LIGHTBOT - Computational Thinking and Problem Solving (Code.org activity)

"Lightbot is a game that asks players to use programming logic to solve puzzles!... guiding Lightbot to light up all the blue tiles in each level. Learn how to sequence instructions, write procedures, and utilize loops along the way in this self-guided activity. "

Every next puzzle is more challenging than the previous one. It is not necessary to finish them all. Play the video (to the right) for instructions of how to play.

Week 9 (May 18 - 24)

Make a strategy (ABCya activity - click here)

Create Fuzz Bugs with designs that match the target Fuzz Bug in each level.

Student should take the time to think and make a plan to utilize the different colors and tools in the correct order to create a matching Fuzz Bug.

Week 7 and 8 (May 4 - 17)

Create an Animation (ABCya activity - click here)

Student will be creating an animation using the animation maker on ABCya.

This activity will take two weeks. In the first week students should explore the animation maker tools, and learn and play. They create a final animation in the second week and email it to me. The topic of the animation is of student choice.

Student should play the videos (to the right) for instructions of how to start exploring the animation maker and save animation.

Please email me photos of student work (if possible) and help them email me the final animation. Thank you!

Week 5 and 6 (April 21 - 30)

Flip Book Animation (unplugged activity)

Student will be creating a flip book animation using a sticky note pad and a pen or pencil.

Please play the video (to the right) for instructions of how to make a flip book animation. The topic of the animation is of student choice. The author of the video is giving only the basics about "how to move things from side to side, make something larger and draw a stick figure jumping and waving."

Please email me a video of the animation/ work done. Thank you!

Week 3 and 4 (March 25 - April 10)

Typing: BBC Bitesize - Dance Mat Typing (activity link)


Student should be sitting properly (video link) and start working on the typing games (4 stages with 3 levels, each). Each time when working on the activity should not be longer than 30 minutes and is recommended to be done a few times in a week - if possible. This is a two weeks assignment.

Week 2 (March 18 - 24)

Computational thinkinng - Code.org, Course B (activity link)

Student is learning the basics of computer science and internet safety. At the end of the course he/ she can create their very own game or story they can share.
