Dear students and parents,

Welcome to the Site for Macedonian Language and Culture!

In these challenging times, it is important for all of us to work together, to support each other and to be our best!

Every Monday morning, I will share here the new information for on-line learning for the subject Macedonian Language and Culture. The newest instructions for home learning are following the General info.

It is very important that you read the info regarding sending / submitting the finished work.

GENERAL INFO

- Please, take pictures or videos of your child while working on each activity;

- After completing all of the activities provided for each week, please submit them. It is very important to keep track of your child's work while we are at home. You can do that in 2 ways:

1. Upload them directly in the folder on Google Drive, that I've created for your child. Just open the link: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1IbtJ7oI-XaqSeoXSZUGmXErjxLN85XHV , find the folder with the name of your child and upload them there.

2. Send me an email with attaching all photos / short videos / scanned documents (lidija.vangelova@nova.edu.mk) and I will upload them in your child's folder.

3. When your child finishes everything that was provided for each week of home learning, you can go to the instructions for the next week.

4. Parents, if you have any questions / suggestions / concerns, feel free to contact me by email (lidija.vangelova@nova.edu.mk) or if you would like to schedule a Google Meet, I will be availabe every Monday 10.30 - 11.30.


NEWS!!!

There is newly open Google Classroom for Grade 2 - Macedonian Language and Culture! It is not mandatory to use it, but I will start posting new materials and Assignments there, too, which you / your child can use if you find it convenient. However, this Site is still going to be the main site, where I will share the new information / guidelines for on-line learning for the subject Macedonian Language and Culture.

WEEKLY PLANS FOR ON-LINE LEARNING

May 25 - June 5, 2020

My dear students and respected parents,

We came to our last topic for this school year. In the following period of 2 weeks, we need to learn how to describe our homes in Macedonian Language. I've prepared interesting Presentation and fun activities which will help you along. Just follow these guidelines for the next 2 weeks:

1.

Task: Song "ГОРЕ, ДОЛУ, ЛЕВО, ДЕСНО"

Time: 5 minutes

What to do?

  • Let's begin with the song!
  • OPEN THE LINK FOR THE SONG and sing together with Darko Biberko!
  • Don't forget to HAVE FUN!

2.

Task: Review the prepositions (straight, left, right, next to...)

Time: 10-15 minutes

What to do?

  • Open the Video Presentation "Where is Dragan?" in full screen option;
  • Follow the whole Video (full screen) again, just to refresh your memory and to repeat the words that we've learned last week.

3.

Task: Describe my home

Time: 20-30 minutes

What to do:

  • Open the following Video Presentation MY HOME;
  • Don't forget to choose the option for Full Screen!
  • Go through the whole video and repeat the new words after me;
  • The new words are:
              • куќа (house)
              • двор (yard)
              • дрво (tree)
              • врата (door)
              • прозорец (window)
              • соба (room)
              • дневна соба (living room)
              • спална соба (bedroom)
              • детска соба (children's room)
              • бања (bathroom)
              • кујна (kitchen)
              • трпезарија (dining room)
              • стан (apartment)
              • зграда (building)
    • Repeat the whole procedure twice!

4.

Task: Name the rooms!

Time: 15 minutes

What to do?

  • Open this worksheet, download it and print it.
  • Your task is to label all rooms in the house with the Macedonian words; Write the words in the boxes next to or under each room.
  • You can add some other words.
  • Color the picture!
  • Take a photo of the finished work and send it to me or upload it in your child's folder in Google Drive!

5.

Task: Draw your IMAGINARY HOME!

Time: 15-20 minutes

What to do?

  • Take a white paper and color pencils;
  • Make a drawing of your imaginary home with all rooms in it;
  • See the examples / ideas bellow;
  • If your child wants or can, they can "build" their imaginary home from cardboard, plasticine or building blocks cubes;
  • At the end, label all rooms / write the words in Macedonian for each room.
  • Don't forget to take a photo and send it to me or upload it your child's folder in Google Drive.

6.

Task: Furniture in my home

Time: 30 minutes

What to do?

  • Open the following Video Presentation Furniture in my home;
  • Don't forget to choose the option for Full Screen!
  • Go through the whole video and repeat the new words after me;
  • Repeat the whole procedure twice.

7.

Task: Describe your home

Time: 30 minutes

What to do?

  • Using the following template (you can print it) your child should describe his / hers home;
  • Or, they can just draw it!
  • First, write the names of the rooms next to each picture;
  • After that, in the box for each room, they should write what furniture do they have in that room;
  • Let them be creative and add additional items (such as: TV, computer, toys, windows, doors, clothing, books, flowers...)
  • They can also try to describe the yard or any other rooms in the house...
  • This Template is also posted as an Assignment in their Google Classroom, where they can write directly in the template.

*** Please, don't forget to take photos or videos and send them to me or upload them in the personalized folders on Google Drive.

My dear students and respected parents,

First, I would like to thank those who sent me the photos of the wonderful "Imaginary Cities". They are awesome!

For the following period of 2 weeks, you have new and interesting tasks for the subject Macedonian Language and Culture. Follow these guidelines for the next 2 weeks:

1.

Task: Review the names of the important objects in the city

Time: 20 minutes

What to do?

  • Open the following Video Presentation Excuse me, where is...?;
  • Don't forget to choose the option for Full Screen!
  • Go through the whole video and repeat the new words after me;
  • Try to answer the questions before I tell the answer :).

2.

Task: Song "ГОРЕ, ДОЛУ, ЛЕВО, ДЕСНО"

Time: 10 minutes

What to do?

  • OPEN THE LINK FOR THE SONG, which is Intro to our new topic, which follows...
  • Listen it couple of times, and sing together with Darko Biberko!
  • Don't forget to HAVE FUN!

3.

Task: Where is ... (straight, left, right, next to...)

Time: 30 minutes

What to do?

  • Now that we've mastered the names of the buildings, objects and places in the City, it's time to learn how to explain where they are. Are they on the right, on the left or between two other objects?!
  • Our new friend ДРАГАН, the dragon Dragan will help us to learn the new words!
  • Open the following Video Presentation "Where is Dragan?" in full screen option;
  • Follow the whole Video (full screen), meet Dragan and repeat the new words after me;
  • Repeat the whole procedure twice.

4.

Task: Color the dragon Dragan

Time: 10 minutes

What to do:

  • Short, fun activity as continuation of the Video "Where is Dragan".
  • You can print it and have your child color it, following the instructions under the picture; or they can try color it on their devices, using "paint" or some other coloring option; or they can just use their artistic skills and draw it in their notebooks.
  • Don't forget to send me their "pieces of art" :)

5.

Task: Where is what... (straight, left, right, next to, between, in front of, behind, opposite, next to...)

Time: 30 minutes

What to do?

  • Open the following Activity, which is sublime of the previous 2 topics: Names of the important objects/buildings and prepositions of place;
  • If you have a printer, print it for your child. If you don't have a printer, than have your child write the answers in the notebook. When they finish, take a picture of the finished work and send it to me or upload it directly in the folder on Google Drive, that I've created for your child. Just open the link: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1IbtJ7oI-XaqSeoXSZUGmXErjxLN85XHV , find the folder with the name of your child and upload them there.
  • I've also created it as an Assignment in our newly created Google Classroom. If you find it more convenient for you, have your child finish it as an Assignment in Google Classroom;
  • Now, about the task:
    • There is a map of a small town, with a lot of buildings / objects;
    • On the second page there are questions about the map;
    • Your child should try to answer the questions with full sentences.

Week April 27 - May 1, 2020

My dear students and respected parents,

For this working week, I've prepared again some interesting tasks for your child. The time allotted for the subject Macedonian Language and Culture they should spend using following guidelines:

1.

Task: Names of the important objects in the city

Time: 30 minutes

What to do?

  • Open the following Slide Presentation Excuse me, where is...?;
  • Ask your child to go through the whole presentation step by step;
  • They should first read aloud the question on each slide, try to answer it and than click for the new word;
  • Repeat the names of the objects 3 times;
  • Repeat the whole procedure twice.


2.

Task: Draw a map

Time: 40 minutes

What to do?

  • Take a piece of paper and different color pencils
  • They draw a map of their imaginary / dream city, including all necessary buildings;
  • If they want / can they can "build" the objects from cardboard, plasticine or building blocks cubes

  • They can add other interesting objects, buildings, houses, playgrounds, streets...
  • Name / label all objects in your City / write the words in Macedonian under or above each building / object;
  • Name the City!
  • Take a photo of your "IMAGINARY CITY" and submit it!

Week April 21 - April 24, 2020

Welcome back! I hope you had interesting and fun time during the Spring Break!

For this working week, I've prepared again some interesting tasks for your child. The time allotted for the subject Macedonian Language and Culture they should spend using following guidelines:

1.

Task: Review of Professions / Occupations

Time: 20 minutes

What to do?

  • Open the Slide Presentation again;
  • Ask your child to go through the whole presentation one more time (by clicking);
  • Your child should read aloud the question on each slide, try to answer it and tell the name of that profession before open the word. Till now, they should know most of the words :) ;

2.

Task: Interactive Worksheet

Time: 20 minutes

What to do?

  • Open this link, which will lead you to an interesting interactive activity about occupations;
  • Your child needs to read aloud the words that are in the middle of the table and connect them with the appropriate picture by dragging the word and dropping it under the right picture;
  • Doing this, ask them to tell what they do or where each of these people works.
  • When they finish matching all words with the pictures, just click the button FINISH, which is at the bottom of the page;
  • 2 options will appear:

"Check my answers" or "Email my answers to my teacher"

  • You should choose: Email my answers to my teacher.

Week April 6 - April 10, 2020

And again, with the new week, we have some new challenges for your child. During this week your child should again dedicate some time to the subject Macedonian Language and Culture, using following guidelines:

1.

Task: Review of the song „Сакам да си играм“

Time: 20 minutes

What to do?


2.

Task: Name the Professions / Ocupations

Time: 30 - 35 minutes

What to do?

  • Open the Slide Presentation
  • Open PRESENT mode (in the upper right corner);
  • Go through the whole presentation (by clicking);
  • Your child should read aloud the question on each slide, try to answer it and guess the name of that profession; Ask them to repeat the new word (the name of each profession) 3 times;
  • They should open the Picture Dictionary on page 29 and connect the pictures with the words, by entering the right number in front of each picture .

Week March 30 - April 3, 2020

Dear parents, with the new week, we have some new challenges for your child. During this week your child should dedicate around 2 hours to the subject Macedonian Language and Culture, using following guidelines:

1.

Task : Review of the verbs

Time: 40 minutes

What to do?:

  • Open the Slide presentation
  • Open PRESENT mode (in the upper right corner);
  • Go through the whole presentation (by clicking);
  • Your child should read aloud the question on each slide, try to answer it and than reveal the answer;
  • Repeat this process twice, but second time ask them to use each verb in a short sentence;
  • Open the Picture Dictionary on page 34 and answer all the questions. If they haven't finished p.33, have them finish it first, before they start answering the questions on p. 34.


2.

TASK: Review the verbs from previous class

Time: 40 min.

What to do?:

  • Open the Slide presentation again, and review the verbs one more time (but this time faster);
  • Next step is listening of the song САКАМ ДА СИ ИГРАМ with Bibi and Bobi couple of times and trying to sing together with them;
  • At the end, they should write at least 5 sentences with different verbs from the presentation or from the song!
  • HAVE FUN!


March 12 -March 27, 2020

Dear parents, during the first 2 weeks of School Closure, your child should dedicate several hours to the subject Macedonian Language and Culture, following the guidelines that you can find in the document "Gr.2_instructions"
