CAUTION: Make sure the burner is off and has cooled completely before removing.
Once cooled, use hot gloves to remove the burner grate.
Place the burner grate in water with degreaser to soak. This will help loosen built up grease and debris.
Blow out the pilot light and use a wire brush, or metal scratch pad, to clean around the burner.
Make sure that the holes in the burner are free from debris, or the gas will not flow properly.
Scrub the burner in the Wash sink to remove any buildup.
Once cleaned, remove the burner grate and dry it with paper towels.
Place the cleaned grate above the burner and re-light the pilot light. The burner is now ready to be used again.
