What another great week of learning in Kindergarten! I’m sure by now you’ve heard our class has an elf and the students voted to name him Telek! It has been fun to see all the writing and drawing to Telek. Thank you to those who have turned in the the swimming permission note and $12, if you have not turned in yet please do so as soon as possible.
READING: Students continue to listen for the first sounds, blend sounds to make words, and read words by sounding out. Students reviewed all sounds learned so far. Thanks for reading at home with your students and sending back their book bags!
WRITING: Students reviewed the formation for all letters learned so far. They are working on writing sentences with their drawings. Students wrote and drew about their favorite center. You can help your child at home by having them write all the sounds they know!
MATHEMATICS: Students worked on writing equations (3+2=5; 6-3=3; etc). They also played a new game “Bike Race”. At home help your student count as high as possible, by the end of kindergarten we would like them to count to 100 by 1’s, 100 by 10’s, and 100 by 2’s.
SOCIAL STUDIES/SCIENCE: Students wrapped up the farm unit learning about crops, seasons of farming, and farm to market. Students listened to “The Little Red Hen” and then retold the story and acted it out, hope you have had a chance to watch on Seesaw!
MUSIC AND MOVEMENT: Students continue to practice for the December holiday performance.

¡Qué otra gran semana de aprendizaje en Kindergarten! ¡Estoy segura de que a estas alturas ya has oído que nuestra clase tiene un elfo y los estudiantes votaron para llamarlo Telek! Ha sido divertido ver todos los escritos y dibujos de Telek. Gracias a aquellos que entregaron la nota de permiso de natación y $ 12, si aún no lo han hecho, háganlo tan pronto como sea posible.
LECTURA: Los estudiantes continúan escuchando los primeros sonidos, mezclan sonidos para formar palabras y leen palabras haciendo sonar. Los estudiantes revisaron todos los sonidos aprendidos hasta ahora. ¡Gracias por leer en casa con sus estudiantes y devolver sus mochilas!
ESCRITURA: Los estudiantes repasaron la formación de todas las letras aprendidas hasta el momento. Están trabajando en escribir oraciones con sus dibujos. Los estudiantes escribieron y dibujaron sobre su centro favorito. ¡Puede ayudar a su hijo en casa haciendo que escriban todos los sonidos que conocen!
MATEMÁTICAS: Los estudiantes trabajaron en la escritura de ecuaciones (3 + 2 = 5; 6-3 = 3; etc). También jugaron un nuevo juego “Carrera de bicicleta”. Ayude a su estudiante a contar lo más alto posible en el hogar. Para el final del kindergarten, nos gustaría contar hasta 100 por 1, 100 por 10 y 100 por 2.
ESTUDIOS SOCIALES / CIENCIA: Los estudiantes cerraron la unidad de la granja aprendiendo sobre los cultivos, las temporadas de la agricultura y de la granja al mercado. Los estudiantes escucharon "La gallinita roja" y luego volvieron a contar la historia y la representaron, ¡espero que hayan tenido la oportunidad de ver en Seesaw!
MÚSICA Y MOVIMIENTO: los estudiantes continúan practicando para el día festivo de diciembre.
