Thank you to those who have turned in the the swimming permission note and $12, if you have not turned in yet please do so as soon as possible. How is it already December and I’ve known your children 75+ days? This has been such a fast school year and I’m so proud of how hard your children work daily! Enjoy the holiday season and see you all in 2019!
READING: Students learned the sounds for w and j and reviewed all sounds learned so far. They worked on blending and reading words with those sounds. Thanks for reading at home with your students and sending back their book bags! If you have misplaced the book bag please let me know!
WRITING: Students practiced writing w and j. They wrote about Christmas wish lists and gingerbread men! You can help your child at home by having them write lists and thank yous during the holiday season!
MATHEMATICS: Students continued to work on counting forwards and backwards, making tally marks, and matching numbers. At home help your student count as high as possible, by the end of kindergarten we would like them to count to 100 by 1’s and 100 by 10’s!
SOCIAL STUDIES/SCIENCE: Students have read different variations of gingerbread stories. Ask your child if they liked Gingerbread Girl, Ninjabreadman, or Cowboy Gingerbread the best!
MUSIC AND MOVEMENT: Students continue to practice for the December holiday performance.

Gracias a aquellos que entregaron la nota de permiso de natación y $ 12, si aún no lo han hecho, háganlo tan pronto como sea posible. ¿Cómo es ya diciembre y he conocido a sus hijos más de 75 días? ¡Este ha sido un año escolar tan rápido y estoy muy orgullosa de lo duro que trabajan sus hijos a diario! ¡Disfruta de la temporada navideña y nos vemos en 2019!
LECTURA: Los estudiantes aprendieron los sonidos para w y j y revisaron todos los sonidos aprendidos hasta ahora. Trabajaron en mezclar y leer palabras con esos sonidos. ¡Gracias por leer en casa con sus estudiantes y devolver sus bolsas de lectura! Si ha perdido la bolsa, por favor hágamelo saber.
ESCRITURA: Los estudiantes practicaron escribir w y j. ¡Escribieron sobre listas de deseos de Navidad y hombres de pan de jengibre! ¡Puede ayudar a su hijo en casa haciendo que escriban listas y se lo agradezcan durante la temporada de vacaciones!
MATEMÁTICAS: Los estudiantes continuaron trabajando para contar hacia adelante y hacia atrás, haciendo marcas de conteo y haciendo coincidir números. ¡Ayude a su estudiante a contar lo más alto posible en casa! ¡Al final del jardín de infantes, nos gustaría que cuenten hasta 100 por 1 y 100 por 10!
ESTUDIOS SOCIALES / CIENCIA: Los estudiantes han leído diferentes variaciones de historias de el hombre de pan de jengibre. ¡Pregúntele a su hijo si le gustó Gingerbread Girl, Ninjabreadman o Cowboy Gingerbread lo mejor!
