DMP（Data Management Plan、データ管理計画、データマネジメントプラン）　とは

「研究プロジェクト等における研究データの取り扱いを定めるものであり、具体的にはデータの種類、フォーマット、アクセス及び共有のための方針、研究成果の保管に関する計画などについて記載されるもの」とされています*。記載する個々の項目は、資金配分機関が定めています。

効果

研究開始前に、研究プロセス全体における研究データの取り扱いを考えることになります。
これにより以下のような効果が期待できます。

• 起こり得る問題を事前に予測できる

• より適切な研究データ管理の準備ができる

• 必要となる管理内容が明確になり、効率化できる

• 不測の事態が起きた場合も対応しやすい

研究が進行する中で、研究プロセス等が変更になった場合は、データ管理計画書を修正することもできます。

1. DMP: Data Management Plan

What is DMP (Data Management Plan)?

It is defined as “a document that outlines the handling of research data in research projects and related activities, specifically detailing the types of data, formats, policies for access and sharing, and plans for the preservation of research results.”* The specific items to be included are determined by funding agencies.

Before beginning a research project, you consider how research data will be handled throughout the entire research process.
This approach offers the following benefits:

• Enables you to anticipate potential problems in advance

• Allows you to prepare for more effective research data management

• Clarifies the necessary management requirements, leading to greater efficiency

• Makes it easier to respond to unforeseen circumstances

If changes occur in the research process or other aspects as the research progresses, you can revise the data management plan.
