Open Access via published journals

APC Support, Exemption, and Discount

Depending on the agreement between the publisher and the University of Tokyo, you may be eligible for support (paid by the University), exemption or discount of the Article Processing Charge (APC) for Open Access journals.

Beware of journals of poorer quality

Please be aware that some journals are of poorer quality (Predatory journals, or vulture journals) that aim only to exploit APC income.
