In Humanities, students will explore Geography, History, and Civics and Citizenship across the year.
In Geography, students will investigate global interconnections, exploring how the production and consumption of goods impact environments worldwide. They will analyse data sources to understand the global effects of climate change and propose sustainable solutions.
In History, students will begin by studying China from 1750 to the Opium Wars, followed by an exploration of Australian history from 1750 to 1918. They will analyse both primary and secondary sources to develop their understanding of key historical events and perspectives, concluding with an in-depth study of World War One.
In Civics and Citizenship, students will examine Australia’s political and legal systems, exploring how democratic values are upheld and how citizens can participate in civic life. They will also investigate contemporary issues related to justice, rights, and responsibilities in Australian society.
