History is a dynamic field of study that involves inquiring into human actions, forces and conditions that have shaped our past and continue to influence the present.
In Units 1 & 2 you will examine how changes and conflicts in the 19th and 20th centuries have shaped the world we live in today, specifically focusing on the inter-war periods and the Cold War.
In Units 3 & 4 you will dive deep into both the French and Russian revolutions, examining the causes and consequences of two of the world's most important events that continue to have implications on our own society.
Evaluating the historical significance of events, ideas, individuals and popular movements
Analysing the perspectives of people during the time periods studied and how perspectives changed and/or remained the same over time
Constructing arguments about the causes and consequences of key historical events using sources as evidence
Conducting historical inquiries and researching events, ideas and individuals who pique your interest
