What is this Subject?

The study of Biology explores the diversity of life as it has evolved and changed over time, and considers how living organisms function and interact. It explores the processes of life, from the biochemistry level to the whole organism, and examines how life forms survive and reproduce in their environment.

What will you be doing in this subject?

• Planning, completing, and evaluating scientific experiments to reinforce understanding of biological theory 

• Elaborating on understanding of biological concepts by answering questions (defining, explaining, discussing, evaluating)

• Connecting biological theory concepts to real world understandings with case studies and exploration tasks

• Drawing scientific biological drawings and mind maps relating to biological concepts, summarising biological concepts
