Curriculum updates in preparation for the 2026 school year are currently underway and will be complete by Monday July 28 2025
Students are expected to use their device in accordance with the BSC Acceptable Users Agreement.
NOTE: All students and parents must agree to the conditions of the BSC Acceptable Use Agreement in order to be granted access to the school network.
Any contravention of this agreement may result in the student losing access to the school network.
This form is completed upon enrolment.
Students can choose to purchase a new BSC Preferred Device, a new BYOD non-preferred device, or to use a device that they already own.
As implied, BSC Preferred Devices have been identified as those that best meet the college's needs in respect to BSC Network connectivity and range of use within the classroom environment, primarily operating on the Microsoft platforms.
Students can use BYOD non-preferred devices providing they meet minimum requirements.
This is not the school's preferred option as these devices may not have full access to software provided by the Department of Education and will have limited hardware support from the IT Department.
Select the button that best describes your preference in order to access information, requirements and processes to access the BSC Network.
Any devices not being directly delivered via JBHifi, must be delivered to the school on the first day of the school year and submitted to the General Office along with associated information. The BSC IT Department will take possession of each devices and undertake the process of connecting it to the school system. The device will be returned to the student via the Home Group program.
Any device submitted must be clearly labelled with the student's full name and Home Group.
BSC IT staff will connect the device to the school’s wireless network and provide students with access to network resources where they have met all expectations (see Choice of Device).
IT staff are on hand to assist students with day to day issues
BSC IT staff are unable to repair or provide warranty services.
Technical support will be limited to providing access to the wireless network and approved software.
Repairs and warranty of claims for BYOD devices must be facilitated/negotiated by the owner.
BSC strongly recommends that parents/carers consider purchasing insurance
