STATE MEET INFO

***Varsity runners + alternates will take the bus together*** 

9:45am Meet in the back of De to load the bus

10:00am Bus Departs for Les Bolstad Golf Course

12:15pm Boys Race

1:00pm Girls Race

***Non-competing student-athletes MUST leave the starting area 5 min prior to race time***

Reminders for competing athletes: 

• • Eat a breakfast that consists of foods you know your body digests well and includes carbs about 4 hours before your race.  OJ is an excellent electrolyte source if you want to add that in

  • 2 hours before your race have a larger snack somewhere around 100-400 calories that's easy to digest

  • 1 hour before your race have a sports drink (we will have Gatorade along with us) 

  • We need to have bibs ON to enter the course

  • Put your phones away when we get to Team Camp to eliminate distractions, minimize stress, and focus on enjoying the day with your team

  • You will need to get your uniforms checked at the clerking tent as soon as 90 minutes prior to your race AS A TEAM

  • You will need to be at the start line (Box #2) 20 minutes prior to your race

  • Competing at State is SO COOL - Enjoy it!

• Families have been doing a great job with this, but just adding a note since a lot of people come to watch tomorrow - the State Meet is a big day and those competing have a lot going on.  If you could wait to hang out at the tent AFTER the meet to keep distractions to a minimum and let the competing runners focus on race-day prep that would be great

• Tickets are $13 Adults/$8 Students and can be purchased on www.mshsl.org/tickets

• There is food/merch available on-site and the State Meet is CASHLESS

• Anyone can join us on the bus over to the course, the bus will drop you off AFTER the team as the spectator entrance is separate from where we get dropped off as a team.

• IF YOU ARE TAKING THE BUS BACK WITH US, it will DEPART the GIBBS FARM parking lot AT 1:45pm.  It would be awesome to have teammates help take team camp down/load the bus afterwards and even more awesome to have our team back together at our last meet of the year

AFTERWARDS - POST-SEASON HANGOUT AT ELSIE'S 

I've got bowling lanes booked form 3:00-5:00pm for the ENTIRE Team with pizza

Parent/guardians are more than welcome to come hangout, last year we had a crew in the back
