General Description:
We will join Mill City on their Assisted (water stops provided) Run each Saturday at 7:00am when they are held (runs are every other week). On weeks when Mill City doesn not host a run, Captains Nathan & John will lead a run at Founders Park. Click HERE for location and routes for Mill City runs. Run routes led by John & Nathan will be communicated on Remind & updated on the calendar. Routes for Mill City runs range from 3-15+ miles and have multiple pace groups ranging from 7:00min/miles to 12:00min miles and beyond so it is hard NOT to fit in on this group run 🙂*
AT THE END OF EACH WEEK: Log your Summer Miles to earn Varsity Letter Points!
What: A fundraiser that is a great way to stay in shape and bond with the team! Relay means that there will be at least one person running over the course of the entire 12-hour time span. Athletes will ask people to pledge to donate* to the team per lap** they run/walk (i.e. $5 per lap). The money raised will contribute to team bonding activities, our End of Season Banquet, equipment and gear for the team, and coaching stipends. Click here for the pledge/donation form. Our goal is to raise $3500 total.
* Flat donations are also accepted
* *One lap = one lap around Nicollet Island = about 1 mile
Athletes and coaches will sign-up for 10-minute slots throughout the day, running as much or as little as needed to meet fundraising and fitness goals. Bring any activities, chairs/blankets, etc. you'd like and don't forget sunscreen!
Where: The DeLaSalle Athletic Field
When: Friday, August 18th
The relay begins at 6:00am SHARP, so plan to arrive at the Athletic Field at 5:40AM. Those willing to help set-up (we will need to set up a few tables and the tent), please arrive at 5:30am.
What else: Breakfast, snacks, and lunch will be provided. If you are a parent/guardian and would like to help by dropping off snacks, sign-up here. We will end the day with an appetizer pot-luck at 6:00pm which we ENCOURAGE parents to attend so we can get to know you. Sign up to bring an appetizer here.

Looking for a PAID position coaching during the fall?
There are coaching opportunities at HGRA (Highland Groveland Recreation Association) Fall Track beginning on Monday, August 14th.
When: 6-7pm on Mondays (practices are Aug 14th-Sep 25th for 6 dates total) and Wednesdays (meet days) from about 6-8pm.
Where: 700 Laurel Ave in Saint Paul at Webster Park for Monday practices. Wednesdays are at the Como Park Relays in August and then at Webster Park in September for the Home Track Meets.
We run on a grass track and it's a lot of fun! There's quite a few more competitions in the Fall which makes for an exciting season.
What Else: As a coach, you’ll work with 1-2 other coaches to help a team of 20-25 athletes through a warmup, 2 workouts, a game and a cooldown during each practice. You will also help teams at the meets by organizing the races, encouraging the runners and helping everyone enjoy the experience.
